Crossmolina And Ballina Communities Mourn Six-Year-Old Cian Rowland After June 21, 2026 Passing
Cian Rowland, a six-year-old child from County Mayo, Ireland, passed away on June 21, 2026, bringing deep sorrow to family, friends, classmates, teachers, and the communities of Crossmolina and Ballina.
Cian belonged to the loving Rowland and Lavelle families, with Noel, Leona, Norah, Micheál, Sinéad, Julia Rowland, Carmel Lavelle, and Mickey Lavelle named among cherished relatives.
Community members remembered Cian for warmth, joy, and a bright presence that touched classmates, teachers, Special Needs Assistants, personal assistant Tara, neighbours, and friends.
Cian reposed at Hineys Funeral Home in Crossmolina on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The funeral arrives at St. Tiernan’s Church in Crossmolina on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, for the Mass of the Angels at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial in Crossmolina Cemetery.
The family requested privacy at home, family flowers only, and donations, if desired, to Cluainin Resource Centre in Crossmolina.
