Alexis Hill, 44, Of Columbus Remembered After Fatal Dollar General Incident On Victory Drive
Alexis Hill, a 44-year-old Columbus resident, died Tuesday afternoon, June 23, 2026, during an incident at the Dollar General on Victory Drive in Columbus, Georgia.
Authorities said Hill worked as a cashier at the store when the incident occurred, and the Muscogee County Coroner’s Office later confirmed the identification.
A large emergency response followed near Baker Plaza Drive and Fort Benning Road around 12:55 p.m., close to the former Muscogee County Elementary School.
Columbus officials said local authorities and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation continue to review the events connected to the case.
